                                                   NAVARATHRI  DAY -3 (She is called Amba)

Amba is supposed to love this kheer too. Delicately flavoured with coconut milk, this healthy & tasty  split mung bean kheer, becomes a great Neivedhyam.

Ingredients
Split mung - 1/4 cup, soaked in hot water for 30 mts
Jaggery - 1/4 cup + 2 tbsps
Milk - 1 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
Coconut milk derived from 2 tbsps coconut gratings
Ghee - 2 tsps
Cashews - 6, broken
Raisins - 2 tsps

Serves 4

Pressure cooked mung, allowed to boil.

2 tbsps coconut



                                                             Coconut milk extracted

Coconut milk added to the mung beans and allowed to boil for 5 mts, then the strained jaggery too added.





Cashews and raisins, roasted to golden colour added


Healthy mung bean patasam, enriched with the aroma and goodness of coconut milk here...ready for neivedhyam!!!
