All got tired of the usual sundal kinds....wanted to make something different....so, I  concocted a spice powder, to elevate the flavors and aroma of the sundal. And it worked out.
Green gram is loaded with high protein, vitamins and enzymes.....not only that...it rejuvenates the skin, acne and skin problems can be very easily dealt with, by using green gram dhal powder while bathing. It gives flawless complexion and adds a glow to the skin. But, nowadays, who has the time and patience???

Today is Saraswathi Pooja and here are the neivedhyams. The above seen Sundal, Easy Carrot Halwa and Potato bondas.
Saraswati Pooja, also called Aayudha pooja, falls on the 9th day of the Navarathri, called Navami. Anything which has the number 9 is so special....navagrahas,( nine planets) navarathnas,( nine gems) nava vidha bhakthi, ( nine types of devotion) nava dhanyams ( nine pulses), navarasams (nine types of emotions), nava nidhis (nine treasures )  etc. And main thing is...Nava Rathri....( nine nights, when  we worship the Goddess in the forms of Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswathi).
"Saras" means, a calm and clear river , "wathi" means, residing in baktha's hearts, which are like the clear river, without any dirt (vile thoughts). She is also called Vani and Kalivani, and is the spouse of the creator, Brahma.

Offer this healthy and tasty Sundal, potato bonda and carrot halwa to Saraswati Devi, Goddess of learning, music and arts.  And we all know....."Aham Brahmasmi"...God resides within us...So, after offering to HER, eat and enjoy these neivedhyams, this way also it reaches HER.
