This can be called an Instant appam version...it is so easy...and tastes just like neyyappams.......this too is my Salem home special!!! Happy Karthigai to you all!!!

Ingredients
Rice flour - 1 1/2 cups
All purpose flour / maida - 1 cup
Wheat flour - 1/2 cup
Jaggery - 1 1/2 cups
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Grated fresh coconut - 3 tsps
 Ripe yellow banana - 1, pureed
Baking powder - a small pinch
Cooking oil + 2 tsps ghee for frying the appams

Batter consistency - a little thinner than dosa

Prep tim: 10 mts; Cooking time: 30 mts

Yields 25 appams

All the above mentioned ingredients, along with banana puree and cleaned jaggery in 1/2 cup water.


Add required water to bring the batter to a little thinner dosa batter consistency


Oil in the pan heated, and appams poured in. Flames kept on the lowest.
