In India, there is no household, which does not use drumsticks... which is very rich in dietary fiber, helps in treating the diseases of liver, spleen etc., good for bones, heart, skin, and it is supposed to impart a glow on our face.  Used  widely in Siddha medicine too. Drumstick soup relieves chest congestion, sore throat and coughs, very good for pregnant women. Drumstick is said to be a great blood purifier too.
I have heard of Drumsticks rasam, but have never made it. To this rasam , I also added Lemon juice, which is rich in Vitamin C, and also pepper and jeera which are good for respiratory system. Can be had as a soup too!
