This is a dish from Andhra, which I learnt from my friend. . This gains amazing taste and flavour 3 or 4 days after preparing,is very very tasty, and almost like our Vathakuzhambu. This contains garlic, which has great health benefits. Garlic treats acne,  hair loss,  common cold, lowers blood pressure, treats gas, lowers heart disease risks and  improves bone health. Study says, it is good to add garlic in our diet as frequently as possible.

These are the vegetables that have gone inside this Pulusu.

Ingredients: The above shown vegetables (Onion - 1, tomatoes - 2, 10 pods of garlic, and 2 drumsticks cut in equal lengths)
Cooking oil - 4 tsps
Hing powder - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Methi seeds - 1tsp
Jeera - 1 tsp
Red chillies - 3 or 4 broken
Tamarind paste - 1 heaped tbsp
Sambar powder - 3 tsps
Jaggery - 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Dry roasted and powdered Jeera - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - handful

Recipe Cuisine: South Indian; Category: Kuzhambu/Lunch
Prep time: 10mts; Cooking time: 25mts

Serves 4

Season the mentioned ingredients in cooking oil.

Then add garlic and onions

Then tomatoes

After it gets mushy,

Pour water (roughly 5 cups), add tamarind paste, sambar powder, jaggery and drumstick pieces

Keep covered with lid, so that drumstick pieces will get cooked well.

Add salt after drumstick pieces are cooked, and add the dry roasted and powdered jeera powder too.

Serve with Brown basmati rice, cabbage curry and Omapodi Vadams. Isn't it a great meal?
