If jaggery, which is high in fibre, is combined with anything...should I tell how tasty it will turn out to be!!! and being Lord Krishna's favourite, it will be a favourite of one and all, I hope. This is such a simple sweet, but very delicious.
Ingredients
Poha / Flat rice / Aval - 1/2 cup
Jaggery - 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
Fresh grated coconut - 2 tsps
Ghee - 2 tsps
Broken cashews - 5-6

Poha soaked in hotwater, poured to immerse, for 1 hour
The soaked poha after an hour
Pour 1/4 cup water to jaggery in a pan, after the jaggery melts.....
check for impurities by straining
Add cardamom powder and fresh coconut, and allow to boil till it becomes thick.
Then add the soaked poha and keep on stirring, adding 1 tsp of ghee.
in 5 minutes, it will become thick like this and leave the sides. Switch off at this point. When it cools down a bit, it will become thicker,
In another tsp ghee, roast the cashews and add to the poha.
Sweet Poha is ready too!!
