This is a tasty dish, which becomes tastier by the next day! It is always a hit among children, and it happens to be a wholesome dish too.
Pasta is a quintessential fast food today, which everyone loves! and I am sure, this recipe will win everyone's hearts.....with the crunchy veggies, the flavourful baked beans and the mild crusted cheese on top!!

Ingredients
Penne - 1 cup
Baked beans in tomato sauce - 1/2 cup
Onion - 1,sliced lenghwise
Red bell pepper - 1, sliced into thin strips
Yellow bell pepper - 1, sliced into thin strips
Garlic - 4 pods, chopped fine
Tomatoes - 3
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Tomato ketchup - 1/4 cup
Olive oil - 2 tsps
Cheese - 2 cubes
Salt to taste

Prep time: 10 mts; Cooking time: 15 mts

Serves 2

Penne measured and kept ready


Dropped into boiling water, and cooked for 8-10 minutes, till they become soft, but stay crunchy


All veggies, sliced and kept ready


Tomatoes cooked in microwave. Refer here for cooking instructions.


Cooked Penne drained, after washing in cold water


Olive oil heated up in a pan, and garlic and onions added.


Add the bell peppers, when the onions become translucent


Chilli powder added


Sauteed well


Cooked tomatoes, skin removed, chopped fine and added


Now is the time to add salt


There will be some water in the bowl in which tomatoes were cooked. Add that too, and allow to simmer


Add the cooked and drained penne...


tomato ketchup......and


the baked beans


Mix well and switch off.


Pour the mixture in a baking dish and.....


top with the grated cheese


Shove it into the 10-minutes  preheated oven at 180 degrees C, and bake for 10 minutes.......


 till the cheese melts and a thin crust forms.


Serve with whole wheat toasts, and it is heavenly!!!
