There are several varieties of gothsus....but this one is a real delicacy. But I doubt whether in every household they make this kind of gothsu. Since this is raw, all the ingredients have to be in perfect harmony, then only you will get a well balanced Gothsu.
Ingredients
Water - 1 1/2 cups
Tamarind paste - 1 tsp
Finely powdered Jaggery - 4 tsps
Sugar - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Finely chopped pearl onions - 10
For seasoning
Cooking oil - 3tsps
Hing powder - 1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1tsp
Broken urad dhal - 1tsp
Channa dhal - 1 tsp
Green chillies, finely chopped - 2
Red chillies, broken - 2
Finely chopped ginger - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves

First, take the measured water (let it be hot), add the tamarind paste, jaggery and salt and allow to rest for 30 minutes. All the impurities will settle at the bottom.
Take cooking oil in a pan, add the seasonings...
Then, drop the onions into the tamarind extract, which has already been mixed with salt and jaggery.
Serve with the hot Arisi Upma.

Strain in a fine strainer to remove the impurities.
Take cooking oil in a pan, add the seasonings...
Add the green and red chillies, chopped ginger and curry leaves too.
Then add the finely chopped pearl onions and saute them well.
Then, drop the onions into the tamarind extract, which has already been mixed with salt and jaggery.
Serve with the hot Arisi Upma.
